Oh my dear dear! I was uploading the movie for my film studies project when the little tune "follow the white rabbit" rang in my pitiful head again!!!

It certainly made me miss my dearest friends....

Friends are a funny thing; you call eveyone you know by name as "friend". But to me, a friend means so much more.

True, I've known and met many people throughout my life till now and forged some "friendship" or i would say "collective companionship" here and there, but I would say nothing like these 4 girls in my life... (Quan, we don't have a pic together!!!!)

I've met them not really too long to know so much about their world, but comfortably enough and sufficient. They know me not too long ago, but know my character sufficiently enough and well. 

It is not how many years we've known each other, it is how much we know each other. 

Not in terms of my boobie size, my dress size, my favourite drink, my crush etc.

But my boundaries, my comfort zone, my facade my truthful image, me. 

I certainly do hate when people bug me endlessly about something i truly wish to mask. Yet, these girls NEVER ONCE ever pestered me about anything - as if somehow they knew that when i am ready to unmask, i will tear down the crazy mask and spill the beans to them. They knew, somehow, what and what not to ask and do and the best remedy to make everything so much so much clearer and brighter. 

Yes, they do have their own group of closely knitted friends, but they are mine. They are the ones i dare to remove my strong "hey you!" side and be a child all over again (yes. seriously. that's why i'm weird) and I'm anticipating Children's Day too. We listened, we talked. Most importantly, we share when we feel right to, we keep when we feel we should keep.

Friends do not necessarily need to know everything about your life- friends are necessary to be part of your life.

To your contrary, I am not a Miss. Popular (never will be) with huge number of friends. I've changed my name and left my past behind. Yet, to these people, I am always SW and will only respond to that name if they are the ones who yell it out. (apart from my bf and family la!)

Because they have seen the real sw- and they have seen the sw that A. is trying to mask. 

I am truly blessed to have them in my life. Whether 10 to 30 years down the road we'll still be around as the weirdo gang, I certainly HAVE found a group of girls that is worth my time and effort to maintain and keep up the great relationship we share. 

You can have plentiful of acquaintances; but only a handful of friends.
